HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a leading international law firm to appoint a Senior Associate into its highly regarded Melbourne Employment & Incentives team.

Working alongside experienced Partners, you'll advise major Australian and international businesses across the full spectrum of employment, industrial relations, workplace investigations and safety matters while collaborating with colleagues across one of the world's largest global employment practices.

The role

You'll work across a diverse and sophisticated practice including:

• Employment litigation in State and Federal Courts and Tribunals
• Workplace investigations involving bullying, discrimination and whistleblower matters
• Enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes
• Workplace compliance and regulator engagement
• Workforce restructures and organisational change
• Employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions and corporate transactions
• Workplace health and safety advice
• Executive employment and strategic advisory work

The role offers significant autonomy, direct client relationships and the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers while continuing to build your own practice and profile.

About you

You'll ideally have:

• 5+ years PAE in employment law
• Strong private practice experience
• Excellent technical and drafting skills
• Commercial judgement and strong client management capability
• An interest in mentoring junior lawyers
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for business development
